Carried Away

Originally exhibited in Mesa's 2006/7 Sculpture in the Streets juried show on Main Street, this sculpture has oxidized over time, to a rich rusted patina. Similar to a new purchase that has the novelty of being shiny and "brand new", the rich patina reflects the passage of time, and has a beauty and character of its own. In 2007, this sculpture greeted visitors to the Shemer Art Center and Museum's Sculpture Garden, 5005 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, Arizona. It is currently on view at The MN Collection, at the 68th Street Design Center.
